Antoine Bourdelle

France

Antoine Bourdelle is a major figure in French sculpture of the early XXᵉ century. A pupil of Alexandre Falguière and assistant to Rodin, he embodied the artistic transition between academicism and the modernist avant-garde. Born in Montauban, he showed an early talent for sculpture and, after studying in Toulouse, moved to Paris to develop his unique style.

Daniel Buren

Daniel Buren est une figure majeure de l’art contemporain international. Reconnu pour ses œuvres in situ, il conçoit ses créations en interaction avec les lieux qu’elles investissent. Eugène Dodeigne

France

Eugène Dodeigne is a sculptor renowned for his mastery of stone and wood. Trained by his father, a stonemason, from 1936, he continued his training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Marcel Gimond’s studio was a veritable artistic revelation. In 1950, he set up his studio in Bondues and developed the “split stone” technique, combining perforation and discing to create expressive human forms.

With a degree in horticulture, he began his artistic career in the 1960s with iconic works using cement-filled flower pots, road signs and the white tiles with black grout that have become his signature.
