Art & Co : Pays du Valois

ECONOMIC ACTIVITY PARK Art&Co

Between Silly-le-Long and Le Plessis-Belleville, the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Valois is developing a project unique in Europe: the “Art&Co” business park. The 35-hectare site combines industrial development, economic appeal and an ambitious artistic approach.

Designed in close collaboration with Monumental Valois, this unique park transforms the business park into a veritable open-air museum. Each building will feature monumental frescoes by contemporary artists, creating a collective work of art nearly 700 meters long. Art doesn’t just dress up the space: it becomes an integral part of the site’s identity.

This project is part of an innovative vision in which art is a vector of transformation and added value. How can aesthetics be profitable? How can a warehouse be transformed into an artistic medium? How can we turn our gaze from the ugly to the beautiful, and finally, in everyday life, how can we use waste, ruins, abandoned and deteriorated objects to create the spectacular, the monumental and generate beauty?

With “Art&Co”, the community of communes has taken a new step: turning economic development into a lever for artistic creation, and industrial heritage into a place for contemplation. A bold and unique way to combine performance, aesthetics and territorial appeal.
