A minimalist aesthetic

Sol LeWitt is a leading figure in conceptual and minimalist art. In the 1960s, he made a profound impact on the art scene with a radical approach that purified shapes and colors, reducing visual elements to their essence. This quest for simplicity is reflected in his Wall Drawing, where the geometrization of motifs and the exclusive use of primary colors (red, yellow and blue) reflect his desire to get back to basics.

A work in dialogue with space

Wall Drawing at the Donjon de Vez stands out for its rigor and immersive character. Walls become a living surface where carefully orchestrated geometric combinations unfold. LeWitt’s aim is not simply to produce a work of art, but to question the relationship between space and viewer. The room itself becomes an integral part of the work, an environment where art and architecture interact.
