In the forecourt of the Donjon de Vez, once used as stables and storerooms, stands a remarkable installation by Japanese artist Tadashi Kawamata. Born in Mikasa in 1953, Kawamata is internationally renowned for his in situ creations, which transform spaces and question our relationship with place.

Huts: suspended works

A dialogue with the environment

Suspended in the trees, the wooden work harmoniously interacts with its surroundings. True to his artistic approach, Kawamata uses recycled materials to build structures that are both precarious and poetic. This installation invites visitors to re-examine the history of the barnyard, while rediscovering the landscape from a new angle.
