Monumental Valois a unique journey through contemporary art

Antoine Bourdelle is a major figure in French sculpture of the early XXᵉ century. A pupil of Alexandre Falguière and assistant to Rodin, he embodied the artistic transition between academicism and the modernist avant-garde. Born in Montauban, he showed an early talent for sculpture and, after studying in Toulouse, moved to Paris to develop his unique style.

Daniel Buren est une figure majeure de l’art contemporain international. Reconnu pour ses œuvres in situ, il conçoit ses créations en interaction avec les lieux qu’elles investissent. Son « outil visuel », des bandes alternées de couleur et de blanc de 8,7 cm de large, est devenu sa signature artistique.

César Baldaccini is a major artist of the New Realist movement, alongside such figures as Arman and Jean Tinguely. Self-taught, he turned to modern art after training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

François Morellet is one of the great names in geometric abstraction and minimalism. Painter, engraver and sculptor, he revolutionized modern art while pursuing an industrial career until 1975.

Jean-Pierre Raynaud is a French visual artist known for his work with symbols and everyday materials. With a degree in horticulture, he began his artistic career in the 1960s with iconic works using cement-filled flower pots, road signs and the white tiles with black grout that have become his signature.

Reskate Studio is an artist collective formed by María López and Javier de Riba, from Donostia-San Sebastián and Barcelona respectively. Based in Barcelona’s Sants district, the duo specialize in murals, installations and illustrations, influenced by popular culture and graphic design. Their artistic approach is distinguished by an ongoing quest for innovation, where the aesthetics, techniques and materials chosen always serve to amplify the underlying message of each work.

Michel Verjux se fait connaître dans les années 1980 avec une œuvre centrée sur la lumière et la perception. Après avoir exploré le dessin, la poésie et la performance, il se consacre dès 1983 aux arts plastiques, utilisant l’éclairage comme médium principal.
